At Michigan Blood Collection, we are proud to host blood drive events that prioritize the safety and comfort of our donors. Our blood drives are similar to those you may have experienced int he past, but with a focus on donor safety and comfort. Our blood samples are not used for transfusion purposes, which reduces the time spent on pre-screening and detailed medical disclosures.
To ensure that our donors have the best experience possible, we provide a range of refreshments, including the popular Oatmeal Pies. In addition to delicious snacks, donors who complete a unit donation also receive $50 for their time.
We take the safety and well-being of our donors and researchers very seriously, and we carefully review consent forms with all donors to ensure that they understand how samples will be used.
