Scope of Services - Responsibilities/Goals:
The Program Coordinator is a part time position associated with the “Feed the Need” Summertime Lunch Program and provides common point of contact for all volunteers, children and school officials. General duties are to plan, organize and oversee an efficiently run program including:
• Develop and prepare the annual program budget and present it to the Novi Rotary Foundation Board.
• Develop goals for the development of the program and present it to the Novi Rotary Foundation Board.
• Develop outreach efforts to insure community and Rotarian participation.
• Coordinate fundraising with the Novi Rotary Foundation Board.
• Be knowledgeable and ready to provide emergency contact information for a volunteer or child attending the event, in case of; weather related emergencies / medical emergencies / unforeseen circumstances.
• Ensure planning elements and supplies for the week’s activities are up to date and are on budget.
• Work with the Novi Community School District staff to ensure the building is ready for the program and to adjust meal counts. • Train and supervise Feed the Need volunteers.
• Assist in set-up, event coordination and clean-up.
• Plan and promote the kickoff event and ensure that mentors, parents and children are aware of event particulars.
• Follow the program guidelines and regulations.
• Submit timesheet accurately and timely.
• Travel for business as required using personal vehicle.
• Work with culturally diverse staff and populations and a variety of education stakeholders and audiences.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned by the Novi Rotary Foundation Board.
